Substantial laminated beechwood butchers block top composed of tightly set end-grain sections,the front fitted with a brass makers plaque reading Etablissements Vergne & Cie, Villeneuve s/ Lot Paris, raised on robust fluted and turned legs with shaped apron having pierced and molded Gothic-inspired cutouts, retains original iron trim, bracing, and hardware, the tall backsplash features a pair of cast-iron bulls-head medallionsan emblematic boucherie motifset beneath a molded, scroll-ended crest

Presents well, in good condition, undulating well-worn cutting surface with age cracks, knife marks, and losses consistent with use
All lots are sold "AS IS." Condition reports are available by request and answered in the order received starting the week of the sale. Our in-house buyer's premium (for absentee and phone bidders) is 25%, with a 3% discount for payments by cash, check, wire, or Zelle. If bidding through a third-party platform, payment must be made through that platform. The online buyer's premium for all third-party sites is 30% (no discounts). SHIPPING While we do not pack or ship any items, we have provided the list of shippers below as a courtesy. Please understand, you may use any shipper or third party you choose and that Nadeau’s Auction Gallery takes no responsibility for any acts or omissions of any of the vendors on this list. Buyers assume full responsibility for the packing and shipping of lots won at auction. We have provided a list of our Shippers to assist you. If a shipper does not have a valid MC you will be charged Connecticut sales tax (shipper must have a Motor Carrier number) and shipper must provide an official Bill of Lading. All shippers on our website are licensed shippers. We require written authorization from the buyer to release any property to anyone other than the buyer. You can send the Shipping Release Form via fax to 860-524-8735 or email to info@nadeausauction.com. When arranging for a shipper, please be aware that all items should be picked up within one week of the auction unless arrangements have been made in advance with our office. Please confirm that they will be able to meet our deadline for pick-up. If your shipper isn’t able to pick-up within our allotted time frame, storage charges will accrue.
